Last week the Faculty hosted about 400 elementary-school children who visited our laboratories and observed our latest projects. We also prepared several workshops, focusing on game-based learning, ranging from and algorithmic thinking to programming. Our Lab prepared the Minecraft workshop, using the Minecraft Education Edition and Code Connection software to support scratch-like programming in Minecraft.
The workshop was a brief version of our Minecraft Summer School Program which we started this year.
We plan on having another Minecraft Summer School next year (don’t forget to regularly check the FRI news feed!); in between, we plan on hosting additional Minecraft Workshops. If you or your school might be interested in attending our workshop, don’t hesitate to contact our PR department about the dates.
